DBS Checking Service

There is no general rule here. On occasions the applicant will pay for the check whilst in other cases the Organisation that is requesting the check may reimburse you in your first pay check.

‘Basic Check’ means a form of check with The Disclosure and Barring Service which reveals details of any unspent convictions or conditional cautions the applicant has.

• ‘Standard Checks’ means a form of check with The Disclosure and Barring Service which reveals details of any spent or unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands or warnings the applicant has, as long as they’re not protected.

• ‘Enhanced Check’ means a form of check with The Disclosure and Barring Service which reveals the same information as a standard check, as well as any relevant information held by the applicant’s local police force.

• ‘Enhanced+ Check with check of the barred list’ means a form of check with The Disclosure and Barring Service which reveals the same information as an enhanced check and shows whether the applicant has been barred from working with children and/or vulnerable adults.

We complete DBS Checks within 48 hours on average. However, while the majority of DBS online checks are complete within this timeframe, some may take longer depending on how long the DBS and police take to process the application.

The information provided during a DBS Check is accurate at the time the check is carried out, and whilst DBS certificates don’t officially expire, employers need to decide if the amount of time that has elapsed since the check was carried out means a new one is required. There may be a requirement for re-checking as determined by a governing body or professional organisation.

A Basic Disclosure is a background check that will show all unspent convictions. It can be requested by an individual, or by a potential employer with the applicant’s permission. If you are an individual living or working in England & Wales and you wish to apply for a Basic DBS Check for yourself, you can find out more information about Basic Checks and how to obtain them – here.

DBS certificates do not have an expiry date, only a start date. If you still have your certificate to hand, it is at your employer’s discretion to say if it is valid or whether they would need you to apply for a new DBS certificate

Verification Checking Service

ID verification is a way to prove a person’s identity. Nowadays, this can be done electronically. Businesses use the authentication service to compare the identity a person claims to have with the information provided to identify a match. Legitimate documentation for users to provide would include birth certificates, Educational certificates, a driver’s license, and more. In order to prevent forgery and identity theft schemes, these measures are taken very seriously for the safety of both the employees and the employers

Once you've placed your order on our website, then it'll take us 24 hours to deliver the report to you or the employer as requested.

Our online application is really easy to use and generally takes 3 to 5 minutes to complete.

Officially issued documents, such as a driver’s license, passport, or other state or federally-issued ID are the most accepted forms of verifiable documents.
